Liebe Besucher,
Liebe Devotees,
Euer Vedanta
Atomic destination
Zitat von Vedanta am 18. Februar 2017, 21:08 UhrBhaktirasamrita-sindhu, Eastern Division, 2nd Wave, Verses 22-23 (Tape 14)
HH Shri Satyanarayana Dasa Babaji Maharaja… continued (Part 3):
Darshini … [?] prema dvara … - Rupa Gosvami says when someone has experience of the Shri Bhagavan‘s bodily limbs which are so beautiful, then this love completely captivates the devotee‘s mind, it fills him with love.
Tado aklesha praptad… sukshayam durgayam … tu lakshanam iti eva artha … prakaram tatvat - This word which is used here is gatim anavin - anu means atom, anavin means atomic and gati means destination. Therefore, anavin gatim literally means atomic destination or subtle destination, i.e. transcendental, beyond matter. Generally it is taken to mean impersonal liberation. But he says, if we take the other meaning of sukshayam or subtle meaning that which is „unknowable or very difficult to know“ - then the meaning is „the destination where one becomes an associate of Shri Bhagavan“. This means that a devotee does not even desire that. As it is said in the Bhagavata Purana 3.25.37 itself:
atho vibhūtiṁ mama māyāvinas tām aiśvaryam aṣṭāṅgam anupravṛttam
śriyaṁ bhāgavatīṁ vāspṛhayanti bhadrāṁ parasya me te ’śnuvate tu lokeMy devotees certainly do not desire attainment of the happiness of the material universe piled up by maya, the powers of yoga-siddhis following bhakti, the auspicious rewards of residing in Vaikuntha, or the bliss of Brahman. But the devotees attain the planet of Me, Shri Bhagavan.
„My devotees do not desire My opulence“ - Becoming an associate of Shri Bhagavan also means that one has opulence like Shri Bhagavan. Therefore, devotees don‘t want anything. Asyapi aniccha … - they do not have desire for this because they are very humble, i.e. they only want to serve Shri Bhagavan. Later on it will be said, if at all they desire then only for the sake of service for Shri Bhagavan. That means they do not have any independent desire that i want to be an associate of Shri Bhagavan.
People are always talking about manjari-bhava or gopi-bhava. They want to become manjari or gopi. They don‘t consider that it is actually a bhava, they only talk of the body. So they always meditate on a body like manjari or a body like a gopi and they want to become like that. And if you ask them,
Why do you want to become like that, what is the reason?
they have no answer.
Bhava is a consciousness, a temperament - which means to serve. Manjari-bhava means the topmost surrender. And if that surrender is there, you don‘t want anything else. This is also not anyabhilashita, to desire i want to become a gopi, or i want to become a manjari. The thing is,
i want to become a devotee!
i want to serve! That is the prime thing. Not that you want to become an associate. Therefore it is said that even they do not desire to become an associate of Shri Bhagavan - if it means independent desire. If at all that desire comes that is secondary. Primary desire is that i want to serve Shri Bhagavan. And if you want to serve Shri Bhagavan then obviously you have to be with Him. So that naturally comes. Therefore if bhava is there then body or consciousness and residence in Shri Bhagavan‘s planet, they will naturally come. But if you want them - then that is problematic because that does not become part of uttama-bhakti.

My apologies to our readers for errors and omissions in the original Sanskrit-shlokas. I have just ordered the book Bhaktirasamrita-sindhu and thus in future articles it will be possible to double-check imperfectly heard parts of the lectures. Unfortunately i am not adept with Sanskrit and Babaji Maharaja's elite students who are well-versed in Sanskrit are already fully occupied with their own seva.
