Shri Radhashtami 2018
Abentheuer, Germany
Babaji Maharaja, Malati ji and myself have just enjoyed a delicious prasadam feast in honour of Shrimati Radharani. Before we assisted Babaji cooking for Shri Radha Govinda ji. I was about to cut a medium-sized pumpkin with a knife when Babaji warned me, "Be careful you don't cut yourself! Caringly he then took the knife out of my hand, cut the pumpkin with his own hands with two courageous and powerful cuts, and then stood back at the stove with a broad smile. I was moved and amazed at the same time! But this is Babaji, always good for a surprise 🙂
Otherwise, Babaji and Malati j all day long enthusiastically are getting Babaji's new book Jiva Svarupa ready for printing. Babaji dictates, Malati ji writes everything down, and I just devoutly listen to his philosophical explanations. Shri Jiva Gosvami's teaching of the Self/atma/jiva based on the Vedas and above all the Bhagavata Purana is incredibly subtle, complexly interwoven and of stringent logic. Even though I certainly don't understand everything at the moment, I have many aha-moments and my admiration for the Vaishnava philosophy is constantly increasing.
May Shrimati Radharani bless us today with her smile and engage us more and more in the loving service of Shri Krishna and His devotees.
Jai Shri Radhe Shyam!
