Children, it is so embarrassing for me, but even today, at Shri Krishna Janmasthami, I was totally busy the whole day, so that I could not put together an adequate post. And now I am on my way to Langenargen, where there will be a wonderful bathing ceremony for Shri Krishna tonight. But spontaneously I wanted to at least post some inspiring words that I heard this morning in a lecture by Babaji Maharaja.
rahūgaṇaitat tapasā na yāti na cejyayā nirvapaṇād gṛhād vā
na cchandasā naiva jalāgni-sūryair vinā mahat-pāda-rajo-’bhiṣekam
Oh King Rahugana, one does not attain this state of devotion by worship or by renouncing, remaining in householder life, study of the Vedas or by worship of water, fire or the Sungod. It cannot happen without taking bath in the dust of the feet a great devotee of Shri Bhagavan.
- SB 5.12.12
Babaji Maharaja: It means, the grace of a devotee is needed for this. Then Shri Rupa Goswami continues: "If you want to know more about this, you should study Bhakti-sandarbha."
Jai Shri Krishna Janmashtami!!
